Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike started his Olympiakos career with a debut goal in a Uefa champions league match away to Partizan Belgrade on Tuesday night.
The Greek side were leading 2-1 and under severe pressure as host Belgrade pushed for an equalizer. Then came Emmanuel Emenike as a late substitute in the 89th minute with what looked like a time wasting move.
But the former Fenerbache forward had other ideas as he netted the third with a left footed shot from the centre of the box, assisted by Diogo Figueiras in the 91st minute to hand Olympiakos a healthy 2 goals advantage ahead of the return leg in their home turf.
The second leg will be played next week Wednesday with Olympiakos and Emenike hoping to pick a playoff ticket that will secure qualification into the UEFA Champions League group stages.
