For their heroics in the Oriental Derby against Heartland at the Dan Ayiam Stadium, players of Rangers International FC will be rewarded with ₦1M
to be evenly shared among themselves.

Enugu State governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, had earlier before the season kicked-off, made a promise of ₦1M bonus to follow every away win registered by the ‘flying antelopes’, and it’s been confirmed that he’s following his promise through.

“Enugu State Governor will redeem his pledge of cash reward for the players
after the win against Heartland. N1m for every win this season,” reads a
tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle.

The win relieved Gbenga Ogunbote of an early season pressure, compounded by
two straight losses to Akwa United and Lobi Stars.

Bright Silas’ 10th minute strike, alongside the bravery and array of saves from Femi Thomas, helped Rangers to a 1-0 victory.
