The injury nightmare which has plagued former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama in 2017 could be a thing of the past in the near future.
35-year-old Enyeama has been out of action since the commencement of the new season owing to a knee injury he suffered towards the end of last season.
The goalkeeper on Tuesday resumed group training with his team Lille Metropole of France, in order to work on his return to match fitness.
He announced his come back on social media with a and expressed his gratitude to everyone who rallied behind him during the injury worry.
According to him: “And after 6months.1st group training.🙏🙏🙏thanks be to God.and everyone who worked tirelessly for me to get here,” he wrote.
Enyeama’s return will gladden the heart of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who has been clamouring for the return of the goalkeeper to the national team.
Enyeama made 101 appearances for Nigeria before he retired in 2015.
