as Ndidi excels again


There​ were midweek matches across Europe as the European leagues entered its critical months​ and Nigerians were in action for their teams.

We start in England where Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi continued in his fine form for Leicester city as they beat Sunderland 2-0.

Ndidi was subbed off in the 82nd minute after both goals had been scored and victory secured.

Meanwhile his teammate Ahmed Musa was not named by coach Craig Shakespeare in the Leicester​ squad that has now won their last six matches.

Meanwhile, there​ was a brief moment of relieve for Sunderland fans when Nigerian forward Victor Anichebe returned from a lengthy injury layoff.
He was subbed into the game in the 80th minute but could not help Sunderland avoid defeat.

Isaac success was thrown into the action for Watford with 79 minutes on the clock as they ran out 2nil victors over West Brom

Italian player of Nigerian decent Stephan Okaka was an unused substitute for Watford.

Ademola Lookman of Everton was an unused substitute for Everton who were forced to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United.

Finally in France, Vincent Enyeama was rested in the French cup as his Lille FC side lost 2-1 to French league table toppers Monaco.
