Former Super Eagles and Lille of France goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
The former Super Eagles captain has been subject of a possible recall to the national team by German coach Gernot Rohr since the current preferred choice Carl Ikeme was was sidelined by a hamstring injury.
Lille tweeted Thursday : “Vincent Enyeama will be out for the rest of the season. #CourageVincent,”
Gernot Rohr was expected to speak with Enyeama this week in a bid to convince the experienced hands to come out of retirement following his fallout with former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh which forced him to quit the national team.
Enyeama, 34, is expected to be out for around six weeks which might rule him out of the clash against South Africa in June, supposing he chooses to make a comeback.
