Esiti, Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu all feature in Gent draw


Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon both started for Gent in their 1-1 draw against Oostende in the Belgian league.

Trailing by a goal coach of Gent’s Coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck, made double substitution which saw Samuel Kalu come off the bench in the 72nd minute and created the assist with his first touch in the 73rd minute.

Anderson Esiti was immediately withdrawn after the equalizer for Gent having received a yellow card in the 43rd minute. Rabiu Ibrahim and William Troost Ekong were unused substitute for Gent.

Meanwhile former Super Eagles striker, Joseph Akpala came on for Oostende in the 81st minute of the encounter.

In Holland, former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh continued his outstanding dugout performance after his Fortuna Sittard side picked up a 1-1 away draw at Den Bosch.

Still in Holland, FIFA U-17 World Cup winner and captain of the Golden Eaglets, Kelechi Nwakali lasted all 90 minutes for MVV Maastricht in a 2-2 at home to Jong PSV. Nwakali is on loan from Arsenal.

Over in Spain were the only LaLiga match of the night saw Uche Agbo retain his starting position for Granada who succumbed to a second defeat under new coach Tony Adams a former Arsenal legend.

For the first time in a while Agbo who lasted 90 minutes did not receive a yellow or red card as bottom of the table Granada lost 0-2 to Sevilla. The Super Eagles defender Uche Agbo, is on loan from Watford.

Finally in Turkey, former Dolphins of Port Harcourt striker Emem Eduok came on as a 47 minute substitute for Kasimpasa who played out a goalless draw away to Karabukspor.
