Euro Watch: Odey opens FC Zurich goal account, Iwobi and Echiejile benched


As Sunday’s European football action has come and gone, we bring you a Comprehensive performance of Nigerians for their various Clubsides.

Striker Sylvester Igboun was on for the full match duration for FC Ufa but toiled in vain in their 0-1 loss away to FC Rostov.

Igboun was booked in the 90th minute.

His Nigerian teammate Fatai Kehinde, was brought on as a 62nd second half substitute.

More misery continued for another Nigerian defender in the shape of left back Brian Idowu, whose Amkar Per team were beaten 1-3 by visiting FC Krasnodar.

Striker Aaron Samuel watched from the bench, as Spartak Moscow defeated his
team CSKA Moscow 3-0 in the Moscow derby.

Striker Dennis Bonaventure came on for Club Brugge in the 73rd minute of
the second half, to help see through a 3-1 win over Lokeren.

Defender Kingsley Madu continues to endure a quiet spell on the bench of
Zulte-Waregem, who drew 1-1 against St.Truiden.

Forward Alhassan Ibrahim started in Altach’s 1-0 win over his Austria Wien side, before being subbed off in the 73rd minute .

Left back Elderson Echiejile observed proceedings from the bench, in
Sivasspor 1-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir.

Midfielder Raheem Lawal was subbed off in the 79th minute for Osmanlispor FK who converted three penalties successfuly to win 3-0 against Alanyaspor.

His Nigerian teammate Aminu Umar was an unused substitute.
