Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa made his first competitive start for CSKA Moscow in the Uefa Europa league first-leg tie against Red star Belgrade on Tuesday night.
The speedy attacker who joined the CSKA from former English champions Leicester City on loan was on parade for the whole duration of the game which ended goalless.
Before his second debut for the Russian club, Musa has spent four memorable years with the team.
The keenly contested encounter saw Musa miss a glorious chance in the 68th minute of the encounter.
Musa who netted 42 goals for CSKA Moscow in142 appearances, showed flashes of brilliance in the team’s preparatory games ahead of the upcoming second round of the Russia premier league.
CSKA will host Red star in the second-leg in a fortnight with the winner over the two legs progressing to the quarter-finals of the competition.
