English Premier League side Everton has concluded plans to hijack Nigeria born, Eupen of Belgium striker Henry Onyekuru’s move to Scottish Champions Celtic with a 7million pounds offer.
Celtic have been rumoured to lead the way in the chase for Onyekuru’s services but Everton have moved ahead with a bid for the Nigerian.
Onyekuru has been in stunning form for Eupen this season, with Everton considering the young Nigerian hotshot as an ample replacement for long-term injury doubt Yannick Bolasie.
Everton though still harbours ambitions of playing in Europe next season despite a 0-3 loss to league leaders Chelsea at the weekend with the club in seventh position.
The Merseyside club looks certain to loose striker Romelu Lukaku in the summer so they are in need of a striker to make an impact next season.
