It is almost certain super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho will leave Manchester City for a new club when the summer transfer opens officially.
In recent times the former U-17 winner with the Golden Eaglets has been
linked with a move to German Bundesliga teams Borussia Dortmund and Hoffeinham.
But reports from a popular British tabloid “The Sun” claims that Everton
have thrown their hats into the ring and are ready to make a £20 million bid.
The story is plausible because Everton’s top scorer Romelu Lukaku is bound
to leave the Goodison park in search of UEFA Champions League football, which will open the door for a replacement.
Iheanacho might be tempted to stay in England but a move to either Dortmund
or Hoffeinham in Germany will guarantee UEFA Champions League football and will favour Manchester City who would like to avoid a situation of constantly facing the striker in England if he joins Everton.
