Ezekiel Bassey sure of promotion with Go Round FC

Go Round FC defender Ezekiel Bassey is looking forward to once more plying his trade in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The former Enyimba and Kano Pillars left full back is optimistic his National League side would secure premiership status at the end of the current NNL season.

Bassey who in 2008 featured for Bussdor FC in the then pro-league, tells naijafootballplus.com that he is currently enjoying his stay with Omoku based Go Round FC and looks forward to helping the team get promoted to the top tier of Nigerian football.

“It is a privilege playing in the pro-league (NNL) for a second time. The Enviroment is conducive for me and I thank God for that” said Bassey.

Ezekiel Bassey signed up with Go Round FC from Kano Pillars at the start of the current season and is quick to point out that his deal with NNL side is more of a professional challenge and should not be taken to mean he has nothing more to offer any NPFL club side.

“I have played in a pro-league club before. My coming here does not mean I’m retiring because I have a long time to play.

“I am a very small boy and I’m hoping to help take this team to the premier league.

“I am here to give them the experience I have and by the grace of God we’ll get to the premier league at the end of this season” the amiable defender tells naijafootballplus.com

Go Round FC is amongst six teams in the NNL currently battling for the two available slots to get into the top division and Bassey believes that with the quality of players presently at the club promotion will be possible.

“I believe we’ll get to the premier league because we have a good team. There are plenty of experienced players here now that can make this team get to the premier league.

“When we play, we know that both home and away we have a good team and we can beat any team. So we believe we’ll go to the premier league at the end of this season” a highly confident Bassey informs.

Go Round FC after Match Day 21 of the NNL Southern Conference are placed in third position a point behind Delta Force and four points behind Conference leaders Heartland FC.
