Nigeria international Victor Moses and his Chelsea team mates on Sunday redeemed their image with victory in the the FA cup over Leicester city, who had Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in their line up.
Pedro Rodriguez scored the match winner after normal time ended 1-1 and extra time was required to separate both sides.
After crashing out of the Uefa Champions league on Wednesday, Victor Moses and Chelsea have only the FA cup as a means of getting silverware this season.
Spanish international Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea the lead in the 42nd minute but the Foxes restored parity through Jamie Vardy in the 76th minute at the King power stadium.
Pedro Rodriguez came in for injured Brazilian international Willian in the 102nd minute and netted the winner three minutes later, the game ending 2-1.
Chelsea will play Southampton in the semi-finals after the Saints beat Wigan 2-0 in their own quarterfinal match, while Manchester United will trade tackles with Tottenham Hotspur in the other semi-final.
The matches are slated for April 21 and 22 at Wembley.
