Falconets drawn against Tanzania in World Cup qualifier


Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), has released the draws of qualifiers for the Women Under-20 world which will be held in France 2018

The draw which was held at the Headquarter of the World football governing body in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday pitched Nigeria Super Falconets with their counterparts from Tanzania.

Falconets, who crashed out of the last edition in Papua New Guinea at the group stage of the competition will host Tanzania U-20 women team in the first-leg in Nigeria on the weekend of September 15-17, 2017 and will travel to dar es Salam in Tanzania for the return-leg on the weekend of September 29, 30, and October 1st, 2017.

If Nigeria’s Falconets find her way through to the next round, they will have to contend with the winner between Morocco and Senegal in the week commencing November 3-5, 2017 and the second-leg will come up in 17-19 November 2017.

Nigeria’s Super Falconets have gotten to the final of the FIFA U20 World Cup twice in 2010 and 2014 but lost to Germany on both occasions​.
