Nigeria U20 women national team on Sunday survived a late scare and held their Moroccan counterpart in the ongoing FIFA U20 women world cup qualifier to a 1-1 draw.
After they thrashed Tanzania women U20 in the first round of qualification for the U20 Women World Cup, Morocco proved not be a stroll in the park for them, as Moustapha Mouslim scored the opener for the hosts.
It took extra effort before Falconets highest scorer Rasheedat Ajibade leveled the scores for Nigeria, with the visitors holding out for 1-1 draw.
The goal Ajibade scored for Nigeria made it goal number 5 for her in the qualification rounds.
Nigeria will host the second leg at Sam Ogbemudia stadium in a fortnight.
