Fanendo Adi becomes Portland Timbers’ all-time topscorer

One-time Nigeria Super Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi was again on target for Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers. The goal took Adi’s goal tally this season to 8 and 50th for the club, which made him the club’s all-time topscorer.

The game that was played in the early hours of Monday morning saw the game tied at 1-1 before Adi netted from the penalty spot to make it 2-1 after Darlington Nagbe was brought down by Seattle Sounder’s Evans.

Portland Timbers celebrated Adi’s achievement on their twitter handle @TimbersFC

Though Timbers failed to protect the lead as they allowed Seattle back in the game with a late equaliser from Dairon Asprilla and ended the game at 2-2.
