Technical Adviser of Remo Stars, Fatai Osho has commended his opponents in their opening day 3-0 victory over Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in the ongoing Bet9ja Nigeria National League [NNL] Super 8 tournament holding in Aba for the promotion tickets to the Nigeria Professional Football League [NPFL]
Edoka Owoicho, Awoyemi Abiodun and Olufemi Oladapo all scored to give the Sky Blue Stars a vital three points which drew them level on points with Bendel Insurance at the summit of group B.
“A lot of commendations should go to our opponents. They’re one of the good teams here and they’re tactically disciplined.
“We’re here to be crowned the [2017/2018 Bet9ja NNL] champions. We did a good job in the season to get here and we’re going to compliment me by getting one of the [promotion] tickets and we believe we have all it takes to be [in the NPFL]. We came from the toughest conference and we’re fired up for the challenge.” He told journalists immediately after the game.
On his next opponents, Coach Osho says he will accord them respect but remains confident.
“Insurance are also formidable but we’re going to give them their due respect as a 3-0 scoreline is no mean feat and [respect for our opponents] should guarantee us success.” He concluded.
Remo Stars will tackle Bendel Insurance of Benin by 6pm today while the remaining teams in the group, 3SC and Delta Force will try to pick themselves up when they square up by 2pm. Both teams lost 3-0 to Remo Stars and Insurance in their opening fixture.
