Out thought and out fought by reigning Nigeria Women Premier League champions Rivers Angels, coach of FC Robo, Emmanuel Osahon isn’t in any way ashamed of losing 3-0 to their hosts.
Second half goals by Uchendu Chinanza from the penalty spot sandwiched in between a brace by Cynthia Aku condemned FC Robo to their first defeat of the season.
Despite having witnessed a complete collapse of his team in the second half, coach Osahon chose rather to focus on his side’s missed chances rather than live in awe of the superiority of the hosts.
“Loosing to a team like Rivers is a lesson,” said Osahon.
“We had our chances of scoring, maybe the game would have ended 3-2 or 3-3 but you know football is like that. It doesn’t affect the team.
With the defeat, FC Robo have now won one, drawn one and lost one of the three league matches they’ve played this season accruing 4pts in the process but when asked by journalists where FC Robo aims to finish come the end of the season, a bullish Osahon said: “We’re going to qualify for the super-4”.
