Nigeria Super Eagles moved up two places in a recently released Federation of International Football Association ranking which was made public on Thursday.
Super Eagles of Nigeria who is currently in France gearing up for the tune up game against Hawks of Togo later today (Thursday) moved from a previous 40th position to 38th position.
In the month of April Nigeria was ranked 40th with 726 points and the new rankings now shows that the 2013 AFCON winner is placed 38th with 730 points. The new ranking now places Nigeria 4th in Africa.
AFCON 2015 runners-up, the Pharaohs of Egypt is ranked number one in Africa and 20th in the world with 903 points, Teranga Lions of Senegal are second in Africa with 839 points and 27th in the World, while, AFCON winner Cameroon is third in Africa and 32nd in the World with 811 points with Congo DR completing Africa’s top 5 with 728 points.
