FIFA Ranking: Nigeria remains in 47th position

With 28 days to the start of the Russia 2018 World Cup, Nigeria’s Super Eagles remained in 47th position with 635 points after the latest ranking was released on Thursday.

The Nigeria senior men’s team played two international friendly in March to moved up to 47th in April.

Nigeria group opponent Argentina is ranked 5th with 1254 points, Croatia is 18th with 975 points and Iceland in 22nd with 935 points.

Tunisia is African best ranked team, in 14th position,  Teranga Lion of Senegal is 28th and second in the continent.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles next international friendly opponent DR Congo is ranked 38th in the world and third in Africa, Morocco is ranked fourth in Africa and 42nd in the world while Egypt is fifth African best team and positioned 46th in the world, which eventually dropped Nigeria to sixth best Africa teams.
