The Super Eagles of Nigeria retain her 52nd position in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.
The new ranking shows the Super Eagles with 609 points remain in the same position as it was placed last month, 52nd in the world and 7th in Africa.
Inactivity for the Super Eagles between the last and current ranking is in part responsible for the team’s lack of movement.
Tunisia is Africa number one team ranked 23rd in the world, Senegal is second and 27th in the world while DR Congo is third on the continent and 39th in the world.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Serbia and Poland in pre world cup friendlies later in March and wins in those two games will surely improve Nigeria’s placing when the next FIFA rankings are released on April 12.
