FIFA Rankings: Eagles moves four places up


The back to back victory recorded by the Nigeria Super Eagles in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mediterranean Knights of Libya has yielded dividends, as the team has moved four places up in the latest FIFA ranking.

The October FIFA ranking which was released on Thursday morning sees Eagles placed 44th in the World as against 48th they were placed in the September ranking.

Nigeria senior men’s team is now the third placed team in Africa behind Tunisia, Senegal and Ghana.

The points garnered by Nigeria for October ranking is 1431.

The next ranking is scheduled for November 29th after Nigeria would have face Bafana Bafana of South Africa in one which would guarantee another improvement on the rankings
