Nigeria have been drawn in same group to play two-time world champions Argentina in Group D at next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup also sees the Super Eagles paired with Croatia and debutants Iceland.
This will be the fifth time Nigeria will face Argentina in the World Cup (firstly in 1994, 2002, 2010, 2014 and now in 2018) with the only exception being in France 1998.
Nigeria will begin her quest to qualify from the group stage into the knockout stages for the fourth time in six attempts starting from their first match against Croatia on 16 June, 2018. They next play Iceland six days later before rounding up the group stage with a meeting with familiar does Argentina on 26 June in St. Petersburg.
