Still basking in the euphoria of the 1-0 victory over Remo Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry FC goalkeeper Abayomi Folarin has disclosed that he’s quiet pleased with his side’s performance against Remo Stars FC on sunday.
An elated Folarin who spoke with naijafootballplus on Monday couldn’t hide his joy over the victory and hopes they can fight like that till the end of the season.
“I said it that we are going to Remo Stars to have a game of our lives and thank God we were victorious. It’s not an easy game though but we fought very hard to secure the maximum three points which has taken us closer to our ambition this season. I think we are on the right track to challenge for the league title this season.
“With hardwork, commitment, determination and a little bit of luck we can do the impossible. Nobody gave us the chance at the beginning of the season but look at where we are. It’s not our might or power but God’s been faithful to us. We will fight till the end of the season.
“This win is necessary and it’s a moral booster for our ambition this season and we will take it further in our subsequent matches. Now, we must shift our attention to the next game against Enyimba FC. We must prepare very well for them. They would want to come to avenge the first leg result which ended 1-1 in Calabar but we are ready for their test”, Folarin told NaijaFootballPlus.
Folarin says MFM won’t get carried away with the result in Sagamu, he called on supporters of the club to turn out in their numbers and cheer them on this weekend when Enyimba come to town.
“We won’t get carried away because of the win at Remo but we must also prepare for the task ahead. We can’t afford to jeopardise our effort at this point in time and slip at home to Enyimba. So we would be all out for them to give them a tough game on Sunday as we are banking on our fans to come out enmass to cheer us to victory”.
