Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega was on the losing side in the early hours of Sunday as her National Women’s Soccer League side Washington Spirits lost their seasons league opener at home.

Washington Spirits hosted Seattle Reign FC on match day one but the away team proved to be better with a 2-1 win.

The former Rivers Angels attacker was introduced into the game in the 62nd minute for Dougherty Howard with the game at 1-1.

But it was visitors that got the valuable goal 5 minutes later through Jo Lohman condemning the Spirits to defeat.

Francisca Ordega returns to the American side after a loan spell with Atletico Femino in February.
