Striker Fred Friday thought his 62nd minute goal for FC Sparta Rotterdam was enough to secure an upset win away to FC Twente in the Netherlands Eredivise game played on Sunday.
But Haris Vuckic broke the hearts of the visitors with a late equalizer five minutes from full time.
Fred, 22, scored his second goal in seven matches for Sparta Rotterdam following his previous effort against Willem II earlier this month.
He was very lively in attack for Rotterdam in a game where they were on the back foot for most of the match before scoring against the run of play in what was a relegation battle.
Credit to Sparta Rotterdam, they defended really well and almost sneaked away with all three points at the De Grolsch Veste.
Up next for Sparta Rotterdam and Fred Friday is a trip to AZ next week Saturday.
Sparta Rotterdam are at the bottom of the table where they have amassed a paltry 15 points from 24 matches.
