Games in the Nigeria National League, NNL won’t come bigger than the encounter in Owerri on Sunday between Heartland and Go Round FC.
In the battle of the promotion contenders, Heartland who top the table host Go Round FC in 2nd place and 8 points behind the leaders.
In order to achieve the aim of getting a result in Owerri and further cementing their place among the promotion contenders, the president of Go Round FC, Felix Obuah will lead a delegation of at least two hundred people to the Dan Anyiam Stadium for this battle.
“We will be storming Owerri with supporters in five coaster buses from Omoku. The club owner, Felix Obuah will also be there alongside other top personality from Rivers State,” General Manager of the club, Soni Uboh said on Thursday.
“I consider this game the star match of the season in the NNL and my boys are psyched up. Owerri fans should expect the best of football and we want the people to appreciate why we have been consistent from day one having never dropped below 4th on the table since the season began,” Uboh said.
“We are poised to beat Heartland before their fans in Owerri.
“The sponsor of the club has said that every supporter from Omoku wants to be at the game and because of that he has ordered 5 coaster buses, and for him he wants to be there with top supporters of the club,” Uboh said.
A win for Heartland on Sunday will take them eleven points clear of Go Round FC and all but guarantee them promotion, while a Go Round win closes the gap to 5 points and sets the pace for a photo finish.
