Captain of Go Round FC Ebuka Akubundu says the club is happy to have a second chance in playing in Nigeria’s top flight.
Go Round were tipped for relegation last season with just a point separating the club from the relegation zone before the league was cut short after week 24.
Akubundu says with lessons learnt from its debut season, the club has set its sight on finishing with a continental ticket at the end of the season.
“The target for Go Round FC this season is be on the continent,” says the Go Round FC captain.
“Before the start of the season, we talked to each other, so we know what we want.
“I believe that our heart desire which is to end the league well and get to the continent at the end of the season, that by the grace of God, we’ll be there.
After sitting out Match Day 1 following a postponement of their home tie with Kada City, Go Round FC got their season started with a 2-1 win away to Abia Warriors on day 2.
They were however held to a goalless draw at home by FC Ifeanyi Ubah on day 3 and will hope to get back to winning ways when they play Heartland FC in Okigwe on Wednesday.
