Former Flying Eagles striker Abduljaleel Ajagun produced his best performance of the season yet by scoring one goal and then creating another in Kortrijk’s 2-0 win over Lierse in a Belgian First Division playoff game played on Saturday.
Ajagun laid a first half assist for Jeremy Perbet in the 33rd minute of the first half against their host Lierse Fc.
Then early on in the second half, the striker made sure all three points were secured when he fired home the second goal in the 58th minute to make it 2-0.
Ajagun 25 has now notched his fifth goal of the season for Kortrijk Fc and has 4 assists to his name in the on-going campaign.
The victory moves Kortrijk Fc to 2nd position in their playoffs group with 6 points from 3 games, just one point behind leaders Zulte-Waregem.
Up next for Ajagun and his Kortrijk teammates will be OH Leuven in their home turf on Tuesday, as they hunt down a UEFA Europa League qualification spot.
