Gombe United beat MFM 1-0 on Sunday, as Sadiq Shuaibu’s goal proved the
difference.

Some of the players refused on the grounds of safety and armed robbery
attack but the General Manager forced them to leave.

One of the players (name withheld) said: “The same treatment took the life of Kalu, the former player of the Savannah Scorpions.

“It’s high time LMC looked into this kind of situation. There should be a rule on this.”

He further commended the government of Gombe State for sponsoring the team
adequately in this recession period and urged the management of the team to
do well to compliment the efforts of the Government.

The Savannah scorpions are scheduled to play ABS Ilorin FC in a Midweek
Matchday 16 fixture on 29th of March.
