Nigeria Professional Football League side, Heartland FC has temporarily relieved Coach Ramson Madu of his duties as the Technical Adviser of the club.
In a statement released on Thursday night by the club’s media officer, Henry Echefu, the coach who helped them win promotion from the Nigerian National League last season was asked to step aside immediately due to the current run of poor form.
The statement reads thus:
The management of Heartland Football Club of Owerri, the Naze millionaires under the leadership of Chief Goodfaith Chibuzor Etuemena has directed the technical crew of the team lead by its head Coach Ramson Madu to temporarily step aside.
The decision according to the club is due to the recent poor performance of the team in the on-going 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League. In the place of the Ramson Madu’s led crew, the club directs that Coach Ezekiel Onyegbulem should take charge of the team and will he be assisted by Coach Isaac Mbaegbu who is currently in the club’s youth team, the team B. The decision takes place with immediate effect.
The Coach Ezekiel led crew will be in Charge of the team in it’s Matchday 15 home game against Visiting Nasarawa United on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri.
Heartland sit 18th on the 20-team table and have only won thrice this season, losing six and drawing the remaining four. They have recorded just one win in the last five games.
