Home based Eagles’ star Afeez Aremu has completed a move to Ghanaian Club, Inter Allies for an undisclosed fee from Westerlo football academy.
The defensive midfielder was on loan at Akwa United last season and his impressive performances earned him a place in the home based eagles which he also utilized effectively at the WAFU cup in Ghana.
His signing was announced on the Club’s website, stating that his acquisition is their third of the new season.
The Club’s president, Raber El-ter said: “This is a very positive addition to our team because he will offer a lot to us.
”He is a young player with huge capacity to learn and develop, with lots of quality.”
Aremu also expressed his joy to have completed the move and is optimistic to excel at the club with the help of the manager and team-mates.
“I would like to thank all parties involved in making this deal a successful one, it is a great move for me to come here to
develop my career.
“I am very excited to be signing for a good club such as Inter Allies. I am looking forward to working with the new coach and the players.
“I hope to do my best and exhibit my quality to help the team.”
Aremu’s move off shore means he’ll be ineligible to represent Nigeria at next year’s African Nations Championship as the competition is solely for players doing the business with club’s within their national borders.
