Ahead of Wednesday’s rescheduled Nigeria Professional League (NPFL) matchday 15 games, FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s first choice goalkeeper, Drissa Bamba has said his team’s target this season is to win the Nigeria Professional Football League title in order to play in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.

The shot stopper who hails from the west african country of Ivory Coast confirmed to naijafootballplus.com that he is in Nigeria for serious business and so is keen on helping his club play continental football next season.

“This is football, I have come from Ivory Coast to win something in Nigeria I haven’t come from my country to go empty handed,” he stated.

He added that winning the Aiteo Federation Cup title will be a consolation if the NPFL trophy proves unwinnable, as it will be mind bugling if his team ends the 2017/2018 league season without a silver ware.

“I want to win the league or the FA Cup and go continental, this is what I have told my friends,” Drissa Bamba said.

The Anambra Warriors as they are called will be away to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano on Wednesday. The game is one of Matchday 15 fixtures, postponed to enable players and club officials celebrate Easter with their families.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah beat NPFL defending champions Plateau United at the FC Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi In their last game but have however not been impressive this season as they currently lie 13th on the NPFL log with 18 points after14 games played.
