After Changchun Yatai’s relegation in the Chinese Super League. CSL, Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, has joined another Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua.
Ighalo left English Premier League side Watford for Chinese side Yatai, and became an instant hit in the league.
Last season, he netted 21 league goals for Yatai despite the club’s relegation.
Since the conclusion of the Chinese Super League his future remained unclear whether he will remain with Yatai, or join other Chinese Clubs or return to Europe.
But the closure of the Europe winter transfer confirmed that the lanky striker will remain in the Chinese land.
Shenhua who once paid the bills of former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins, confirmed his capture via Social Media.
Ighalo could make his debut on the 1st of March, against Shanghai SIPG, in the opening day fixture of the 2019 Chinese Super League Season.
