Super Eagles top striker Odion Ighalo was in superb form for his Chinese club Changchun Yatai, as they got a 3-1 victory over Jiangsu Suning FC in the Chinese Super League match played early Sunday.
Cameroonian captain Benjamin Moukandjo scored an early stunner within a minute of kickoff for the visiting Jiangsu.
But Ighalo was able to cancel the goal from the Cameroonian, when he equalized in the 29th minute collecting an Assist from Long Tan, as both players took their national team rivalry to club competition.
It took another early goal in the second half, this time with Rui Yu scoring within five minutes to complete the turn around.
But Ighalo who joined Yatai from Watford was not yet done, as he turned provider for Zhenyu Du in the 82nd minute to take the game beyond Jiangsu Suning.
Ighalo 28 has been in fine form for club and country scoring 14 times in all competitions for Yatai in 26 matches.
The win takes Changchun Yatai to 8 position on the Chinese Super League table, with 38 points from 28 matches with other games to follow.
