Despite speculations surrounding the future of Nigeria and Manchester City starlet Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian has insisted that he will remain with the Blue side of Manchester come next season.
Iheanacho who has been linked to numerous suitors both in and outside of England stated on Wednesday that he’ll stay to fight for his position next season.
Speaking to Manchester evening standard, the 20-year old said: “I’m not very aware of that. I just keep working with the team and I’m still at Manchester City so I’ll meet up with the boys and kick off the season with Manchester City.
“I’m happy to stay at Manchester City and keep fighting to help them achieve what they want to achieve.”
Meanwhile, Kelechi has reported to Super Eagles camp in France ahead of the doubleheader friendly against Corsica and Togo
