Super Eagles of Nigeria shot stopper Carl Ikeme who was diagnosed with acute Leukemia has drawn strength from the numerous support he has gotten since the sad revelation of the career ending ailment.
The goalkeeper who plies his trade for English championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers posted a picture of himself on Twitter @Carl_Ikeme with a message thanking everyone for their support.
“Thank you all for your kindness and Love The start of a new chapter and ready to give it my all! Thank you.”
Ikeme was diagnosed last week Thursday of suffering from acute Leukemia, an ailment commonly known as cancer of the blood.
He has 10 caps for Nigeria since he made his debut in September 2015 against Tanzania. He has been Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper ever since.
