The hope of Super Eagles and Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi featuring for both club and country received a boost yesterday as he returned to training with the gunners first team squad.
He who has been battling muscle strain in recent days trained fully on Friday ahead of the Gunners clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday in the Premier League.
Iwobi missed the FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and it was touted that he might miss the upcoming clash against Chipolopolo of Zambia on October 7, in Uyo after sitting out Arsenal’s wins over West Bromwich Albion on Monday night and Bate Borisov in the Europa League on Thursday.
His return to action will be a big relief for Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr who stated that he will rely on Brighton game to determine the fate of the youngster.
Rohr included Iwobi in his 23-man list of players who will play Zambia next month.
