Iwobi dropped to Arsenal U23 team

Super Eagles and Arsenal of England youngster Alex Iwobi will play no part in Monday night’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Iwobi who has been one of the best performers under under-fire manager Arsene Wenger, has been dropped to the U23 team and will feature in a game against Reading coming up later today.

In a post on the club’s official Twitter page, it was announced that Iwobi will be lining up alongside Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Debuchy and Rob Holding in a reserve team rife with top-level experience.

Iwobi who has made 36 appearances, scoring 4 goals for the first team made his debut for the gunners in 2015 and has went on to make 57 appearances.
