Former Nigeria Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia is not pleased with the bench role talented Arsenal star Alex Iwobi is experiencing at the gunners.
Samson Siasia who played for the Super Eagles and became popular with the u-20 and u-23 teams of Nigeria where he was successful and helped many young players to stardom, says Iwobi needs regular football to improve his game and confidence.
”Nobody is happy that with the huge talents of Iheanacho and Iwobi they did not play many matches for Man City and Arsenal,” Siasia told Sporting Life.
“We cannot also blame their managers Pep Guadiola and Arsene Wenger for leaving them most time on the bench because the players that played ahead of them are more experienced.
“This why I would like them to seek playing time elsewhere if necessary to be able to be hot and smoking for the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Iwobi who celebrated Arsenal’s FA cup win over Chelsea had a better season than Iheanacho as he only lost his regular playing spot at the second stanza of the EPL season.
Iheanacho on the other hand was not in the plans of Pep Gaurdiola and faced stiff competition from more experienced forwards coupled with the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus during the winter transfer window which forced him out of the team.
