After injury ruled him out of the 2018 world cup qualifier between Super Eagles of Nigeria and indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Nigeria and Arsenal midfielder Alex iwobi is disheartened he’ll miss the game.
Iwobi was ruled out of the mouthwatering encounter due to injury and also missed Arsenal’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Iwobi declared his support for the Eagles on his social media page saying: “Gutted I’ll be missing our two big qualifiers because of injury but I am behind the boys 100%. Massive thanks to all our awesome fans for your continued support! Let’s do Nigeria proud,” he wrote.
Iwobi took part in the first two qualifiers of the campaign for Nigeria and netted the first goal against Zambia, in Ndola.
Nigeria play Cameroon in Friday in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier with the return leg to be played four days later.
The Super Eagles currently sit top of group B with 6 points from two matches while Cameroon have 2 points from the same number of games.
