Iwobi’s Arsenal wins FA Cup as Moses sees red


Nigerian and Chelsea wing back Victor Moses was shown a red card in a very entertaining FA cup final dominated by Arsenal.

Moses had a day to forget as Chelsea were second best to everything with Arsenal securing a 2-1 win at Wembley.

Victor Moses was shown a red card in the 68th minute after taking a dive in the Arsenal box in an attempt to win a penalty in the 2-1 defeat by Alex Iwobi’s Arsenal at Wembley to see the Gunners lift the FA Cup.

Moses received his second yellow card after he had initially been booked for pulling down Welback in the 57th minute as the Arsenal striker was heading towards goal.

Alex Iwobi was an unused substitute for Arsenal but will claim an FA cup medal as Arsenal managed to finish a rather subdued season with a silverware.

With the English league season now over, both players will now hope to join the Super Eagles ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against South Africa next month with Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr set to name his squad for the meeting with the Bafana Bafana in Uyo.
