Kwara United technical crew has been handed a three-match ultimatum to turn around the fortunes of the club or face the axe, it has been revealed.
In a recently released mandate which was signed by the club’s media officer, Abdul Waheed Bibire on behalf of the President, Sir Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson, it stipulated the perturbation of the club’s management for the need of drastic actions to be taken on the back of the Harmony Boys nondescript performances in the ongoing 2017/2018 NPFL.
Newly promoted Kwara United led by John Obuh are placed 19th after ten rounds of fixtures in the topflight, they have lost six of their opening ten matches, the most in the current campaign alongside, Niger Tornadoes and Nasarawa United.
The notice had called for patience from every one concerned as plausible mediums are already been taken to curtail the rot and ‘put things in proper shape’.
Excerpts from the document read: “The technical crew of Kwara united fc led by former Nigeria under twenty national coach John Sam obuh has been given a three matches ultimatum or face the exit door.
“The ultimatum in a release signed by the media officer of the club on behalf of its President Sir Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson became necessary in view of the not too impressive performance of the club in the ongoing 2017/2018 NPFL.
“The government, fans, supporters, and the stakeholders are worried hence the need for the drastic action. We can not folds our hands and allow things to get degenerated in view of government huge investment on the club. The statement appeals to all the concern stakeholders to exercise patience as the management is working round the clock to put things in proper shape.”
Kwara United’s next three matches are against Abia Warriors (away), El-kanemi Warriors (home) and league champions Plateau United (away).
