Since the window for moving of players opened in the NPFL, there has been moves here and there from one club to the other.
In that regard, Godwin Obaje has moved to plateau united from Ifeanyi Ubah FC, Naijafootballplus.com can confirm.
Speaking to Naijafootballplus on Friday night, the adept goal poacher divulged his move and expressed reasons for joining Plateau United, plus what he aims to achieve as a striker in the upcoming season.
“I am really happy to have joined Plateau United, and the motive behind the move for me, is that it’s time for me to face a new challenge, so I had to take it up.
I had many offers, but chose to join plateau united because they are a team with ambition and they always want to win and want the best” Obaje said.
The striker who was so resourceful for Ifeanyi Ubah Fc in his stint at the club also expressed personal plans for himself in the upcoming season
“I will do my best to contribute my part well, with the team by God’s grace.
“The plan for me this upcoming season is to make sure I work hard and score as much as possible for the team, but the interest of the team comes first.
Godwin Obaje had a low playing time last season due to injury, but still proved his best, playing 13 matches , scoring 4 goals and assisting 5 times.
