Junior Ajayi named Egyptian league’s best foreign player

Newly invited Nigeria Super Eagles and Al Ahly forward Junior Ajayi has been named the best foreign player in the Egyptian premier League for 2017.

Ajayi has been outstanding since he moved to the former African champions in 2016 from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien and helped Al Ahly to win both the league and Egyptian FA cup in a stellar campaign he won’t forget in a hurry.

The award which was held on Friday night in Cairo, Egypt saw two players from the Al Ahly team win two awards – Junior Ajayi, the best foreign player in Egypt, while Ahmed Fathi the league’s best player award.

Junior Ajayi who is part of the 28 man list of player released by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming pre-world cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia, has netted 8 goals in the ongoing season for the club.
