In order to rescue their dwindling fortune in the ongoing French Ligue 1 season, the management of Girondin Bordeaux have appointed Portuguese tactician Paulo Sousa.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu, joined the French side last summer and flourished under former coach of the team Ricardo.
Sousa signed three and half year deal with the club.
The Portuguese gaffer will be the third coach of the team this season, after Uruguayan coach Gustavo Poyet left the team early in the season.
Kalu is one of the players invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming 2019 AFCON qualifier against Seychelles and the international friendly against Egypt.
