Super Eagles forward Kayode Olarenwaju finished the season on a high as he was voted the Austrian Bundlisga Player of the year (APA-Fußballerwahl) for 2016/2017 season following his breathtaking performances for Austra Wien.
The 24-year-old striker finished the season as the league’s top scorer after finding the back of the net 17 times and taking his total tally to 24. Kayode also managed to get 5 goals in the concluded UEFA Europa league. He also got two goals in the Austrian cup to take his seasons tally to 24.
Kayode is currently with the Super Eagles who are currently in Paris preparing for their friendly against Togo and African Nations cup qualifiers against South Africa. The strikers form will be a huge boost for the Super Eagles as he will be very imperative to getting good results in those games.
