New Kwara United Coach, Abubakar Bala has stated his belief that the club will avoid relegation this season.
Abubakar Bala is yet to lose a game with Kwara United since he was drafted in to save the Harmony Boys from the murky waters of relegation after a dismal run of results under former coach, John Obuh, sees the team bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League table after 15 matches.

The coach expressed his confidence in a chat with journalists recently, revealing he took up the job because of his belief that things can change for the Ilorin based side.
“I believe we can turn things around for this team to avoid relegation, that’s why I accepted the job,” Bala stated.
He further stated that with the victory over Pillars and the result in Akure, the players will get more confident as they keep working to improve the team psychologically.
”Our recent results will boost the players’ morale. It started from the win against Pillars, we won then in my first game in charge and we drew in Akure; their morale will be high.
“The most important thing is to change their mindset, that we can do it,” he added.
Kwara United gained promotion to the NPFL after a blistering season in the lower division saw them runaway with the first promotion ticket with games to spare but have failed to replicate that form in the NPFL and are bottom of the table.
Abubakar Bala will have some time to further tinker his side as Kwara United will not be in action this weekend, as their matchday 16 tie against Enyimba FC was postponed owing to the Aba club’s involvement on the continent.
