Legendary Nigerian football coach Kelechi Emeteole to be buried Friday


The remains of former Nigeria international Kelechi Emeteole is to be buried on Friday August 18 at Amiyi Obilohia in Isikwuato Local
Government Area of Abia State.
Emeteole, fondly called ‘caterpillar’ in Nigeria Football circles died in India after a long battle with throat cancer.

There will be a funeral service to be
conducted by the International Church of
Christ at his compound. Interment follows immediately after church service.

Apart from playing for Nigeria’s national team, he also managed Rangers International, El-Kanemi Warriors, Lobi Stars and Heartland.

He has 17 caps for Nigeria and scored 4 goals.
