LMC fines Ifeanyi Ubah, Suspends Players and Officials for Misconduct.


FC Ifeanyi Ubah has been slammed with a crippling punishment which comprises fines close to ₦2 Million and suspension of 9 players and​ 2 club officials for misconduct, League Management Company made the announcement on their official Twitter page.

LMC released the verdicts in a throng of tweets​ that the company posted on the social media platform on Wednesday, they noted that the punishment was melted on FC Ifeanyi Ubah for their misdoings in the rescheduled NPFL matchday 36 fixture away at Niger Tonadoes, which the home team won 2-1 and the Anambra Warriors ended the game with 9 men as Godwin Obaje and King Osanga were both given their marching orders.

“FC IfeanyiUbah will pay a fine of N1m for encroachment during the NPFL game vs Niger Tornadoes

“FC IfeanyiUbah will also pay a fine of N750,000 for failure to control their players and officials during the NPFL game in Lokoja

“FC IfeanyiUbah will pay N500,000 being N250,000 each to the assaulted referee and assistant referee plus any certified
medical bills” A few of the tweets disseminated.

Subsequent tweets then declared​ 9 players have been suspended for 12 NPFL games for assaulting the referee.

“FC IfeanyiUbah players Ngoma Luamba, Elu Wilson, Isaac Loute are suspended for 12 NPFL games each for assault on the referee

“Also banned for 12 NPFL games are Stephen Eze, Adeleye Olamilekan, Michael Egbeta, Uchenna Godfrey Jr, Douglas Nkrumah, Kone Soumaila.” A couple of the tweets proclaimed.

Lengthier suspension of 19 NPFL games were also ditched out to 2 of the club officials for assaulting match officials.

“Also, FC IfeanyiUbah secretary Chidi Nwogu and kit manager Adirika Obiefuna are banned for next 19 NPFL games for assault on match officials.” one of the tweets said.

The suspension will take effect immediately and will be carried over into the next season.

IfeanyiUbah are currently eight on 53 points in the NPFL table.
