Akwa United coach, Abdu Maikaba has said his side will go for a win against visitors, Al Hilal of Sudan in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round, second leg fixture at the Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.
The Promise Keepers lost the first leg 2-0 in Sudan and will square up against the Sudanese champions to upturn a two-goal deficit from the first leg.
According to Akwa United media, Al Hilal contingent will arrive Lagos on Saturday with a 33-man squad comprising of 22 players and 11 officials and the team will later connect a domestic flight to Uyo from Lagos.

The winner of this fixture will proceed to the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup group phase and Maikaba says his team will push hard to turn around the first leg defeat and upset their visitors on Sunday.
“In football, nothing is impossible, I don’t have to go too far back in history. Ask Barcelona, ask Real Madrid. On both occasions, the underdogs held sway.
“We respect the Sudanese, they were established over 88 years ago and are perennial CAF Champions league Campaigners yet in Uyo, we are sure they will meet their waterloo,” said an optimistic Maikaba.
